Sometimes, being an adult truly sucks. We often mourn the carefree existence of our youth as we feel like we constantly face challenges in our lives. From planning dinner each day, ignoring the mountain of ironing that is growing in the corner, dealing with arseholes at work, never-ending to-do lists, health worries, money worries, childcare issues, aging parents, our own relationships with our partners and for some of us, perimenopause and all the joys that brings, it is little wonder we are feeling a tad stretched.
What I say here may not apply to you, but it is what has helped me heal and feel better in a romantic relationship that didn't work. I hope something helps you. The first thing I had to do was be brutally honest with myself about why the relationship was not working and if it… Continue reading Honesty and Acceptance is What Will Heal the Hurt in a Broken Relationship
Here I share some random thoughts on livelihood as an opening to reader comments on the subject. I wish society was more about teaching people to expand on their gifts and passions, rather than pushing everyone to go for the money. If we were taught from a young age to pursue our gifts and passions,… Continue reading Please Share Your Thoughts And Experiences On Livelihood

Hi Friends! I've been away for awhile. For now, I won't get into why, because I could probably write an entire book about the many things that have went on in my life. But I will say that if you follow me, you'll find out in bits and pieces as I write posts about some… Continue reading Releasing Things That No Longer Serve Us
Two days ago I got a message from a guy I used to date wanting to 'cuddle'. Yesterday I got a message from my ex-boyfriend. I'm not entertaining either one because both men have toxic qualities and are in the past for a reason. I'm trying to heal my childhood issues that led me to… Continue reading Covid19 Brought The Energy Vampires Out. I Deserve Better.
We gave up parts of our life for them, time and again All to find out it was only their needs that mattered They'd take as much as we'd give, even asking for more And it wasn't appreciated They would not help us in our time of need It was others that helped us Those… Continue reading It’s Okay To Walk Away From Selfish Abusive People
I've read numerous dating posts about being proactive in finding your next partner. Get out there and date - it's all about the numbers! This is the main advice I hear or read. I followed this for a number of years and I found that it kept me focused on that only and the rest… Continue reading Live a Fulfilling Life To Attract Your Next Partner
He was so good to me when we were together. But eventually, he'd ghost me and I'd break up with him. During the break-up I was confused how he could seem like he loved me so much then turn around and ghost me a few days later. Eventually he'd come back and we'd do it… Continue reading Alcohol Is The Alcoholic’s First Love

Without going into too much detail, the thing that happened was that my… Continue reading Self Love Breaks The Cycle Of Abuse
About 2 months ago, I quit a really good job, completely randomly. When I say random, I mean totally random. I had no back up plan: no savings; it was completely impulsive (As I tend to do most things in life :P). Well, I thought about the decision for about two days before quitting.. Most… Continue reading How Quitting My Job Gave Me Freedom

Affirmations have changed my life in really good ways. I first started listening to them around 20 years ago when my mom introduced me to Louise Hay's book 'You Can Heal Your Life', and she gave me a cassette tape that had Louise's affirmations on it. I listened to the tape religiously every day and… Continue reading Writing Your Own Affirmations for Better Results
I have energy today! For the past few months I have felt like something was zapping my energy on a daily basis. In hindsight, I now know what it was. I thought I was enjoying time with him. We need to think of ourselves as queens when we date. Would a queen settle for being an option? Nope. Would a queen compete? Nope. Why should we do it? If a man brags to you that he has options, let him be free to all his options. It would be rude, inconsiderate and disrespectful… Continue reading Don’t Settle for Being an Option Ladies
