Kids grow out of their clothes so fast. Usually, they get donated, given to someone we know or, if craftiness calls, turned into something new! This cute, no sew, boho bag was upcycled from a dress my daughter had out grown. It was a fun project and she loves letting people know we made it […]
The pandemic brought a lot of awareness to me about climate change, food shortages, how quickly our hospitals could colapse and more. This has sent me on a mission of becoming self-sustainable, empowered and working to help heal the earth. That is what the focus of this blog has become. The main way I'm working at this is through building a food forest and documenting as much as possible in hopes to inspire others. The more of us that do this, the more it will help heal the earth. When we buy produce from the grocery store, it was grown through monoculture, and that leads to use of chemicals that goes onto our food and into our planet, destroying soil. If we grow our own through permaculture (a food forest), we give the soil health. We also give ourselves health by growing organic foods and herbs that contribute to our health. There's a lot more to this, but this touches the surface. I'm only one year into this but my food forest is growing. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Thank you for sharing my daughter’s upcycled bag! 💜
Your work on Fine Art America is awesome 🙂
FAA is actually the site I signed up for first, but was having some issues uploading and then looked into a few other sites like Spreadshirt, Society 6, and Printful, and then decided on RedBubble… they all seem cool and helpful! I wasn’t sure which one to go with. How do you like FAA so far?
I haven’t tried any others. FAA was the first one I’ve tried and I’ve stuck with it. They don’t seem to offer as much as Redbubble though. I haven’t had any issues with them at all, but haven’t had that many orders either and I’ve been on there I think 3 years now. But I haven’t been putting a lot of effort into it either. Sorry it took so long to respond – I didn’t see this post until now. How are you liking RedBubble so far?
It’s only been a few days, but it seems pretty cool. They do offer a lot! I do wish they had the yoga mats and beach towels like FAA though. I might stay on there too just because they offer that, I really want my Stay Wild Flower Child yoga mat 😄
The Stay Wild Flower Child Yoga Mat would be SO perfect!! I love the idea of these printing sites. When I found out they did masks, I wanted to design all kinds of different faces – humans, animals, insects, etc. I did two and life happened. But it’s fun to think of all the possibilities to design each of their items.
They are really cool, I can’t believe I’m just finding out/ joining now, like where have I been? Not online 😄 Masks with faces are awesome, maybe you’ll have time to make a few more, Halloween is coming up (not that I want to rush summer, I wish it was always summer lol) but mask ideas are endless, jack-o-lantern smiles would be fun! Do they have those yet? 🤔 lol
I hear you on just finding out. I felt that way when I joined. Years ago I was on top of all this stuff and now within the last few years just getting caught up. So many possibilities! Halloween art! Fun!
