My daughter Shauna and I have talked about starting a blog for a long time. We are both very much into self empowerment, self improvement and spirituality. I have been going through some personal things for the past few months where self empowerment saved me from possible heartbreak and ruin. I only mention the situations of the past few months because it was part of what got me motivated to finally begin this blogging adventure with Shauna. I think that even though we both are on a self improvement and empowerment journey, this blog will ingrain it even more and become the focus of our lives. Other factors involved were that Shauna has wanted writing to be her job since she was little, I love to write, and I got a sign from the Universe. I love getting signs from the Universe! A lady that I work with daily that I look up to and consider a mentor suggested I start a blog. So since I had already had blogging on my mind and her suggestion came out of nowhere, I figured the Universe was giving me a nudge. This is all happening at a perfect time when both Shauna and I feel we want our focus in life to be self empowerment and we both knew without a doubt that this is going to be our mission – to empower others.
I’m a 53 year old single, was married for 20 years, divorced for 10. Raised my family and wrote The Homemaker’s Journal online newsletter during that time. I got into spirituality and self improvement in my 30’s. Since divorce, my focus has been on finances, so I haven’t had as much time to devote to spirituality and self improvement but feel this blog will get me back on track. When I am focused on spirituality and self improvement, life seems magical. That’s how I want to live my life, so it makes sense to put the focus there.
We think it might be fun and interesting to some to get younger and older perspectives on a wide variety of self empowerment subjects and we hope you enjoy it! We want to empower you to live your best life and will write about life lessons and ways to treat yourself well, whether that be cooking yourself something delicious, making a little flower garden, traveling or organizing a space in your home. When we are empowered, we are strong for ourselves and others. When we are not empowered, how can we be there for anyone else? It’s not about selfishness. It’s about loving ourselves as much as we love others. I have so many things to say on this but it was only supposed to be a little introduction so I will save all those things for future writings.
If you think this sounds like something you’d like to keep on top of, please subscribe to our blog. I’m also going to be sending out a newsletter to notify of new articles posted and other relevant information. If you’d like to subscribe to that, send a blank e-mail to BubbleBathSelfEmpowerment-Subscribe@yahoogroups.com. Thank-you!

Lovely to meet you here, Monica! I love what you say above about how to reduce our impact on the planet. It makes sense and I don’t understand why not everyone is following your guidelines. I live in Northern Ireland. Ashley 🙋♂️

It seems like more and more people are hopping on the bandwagon, at least I hope anyway. Not sure if I’m just looking for it more now, or if there’s a lot more people taking notice. Thank-you for stopping by – I look forward to reading more of your blog! Love Ireland and I am part Irish 🙂
