Making a Decision and Committing To It

How many times have you started to work on a goal all to abandon it because it wasn’t making progress quick enough? Or worse yet, you didn’t even start because it felt impossible.

I’ve done it way too much. To the point where I’m simply doing a daily routine and surviving. That is not how I want to live my life.

Bob Proctor has inspired me to start dreaming of the life that I want, because that’s where it all starts – in our imagination. The dream has always been there, but I’ve put it on the back burner so much that it has not progressed. I’ve chosen to work a 9-5 job then come home to be lazy and watch Netflix, play video games and other unproductive things over my dreams.

The job is mandatory for now, but more of my spare time could be used working towards my dreams.

So, I’ve committed to watch Bob Proctor daily to keep me motivated and I’ve also committed to working towards my dream as much as possible.

The funny thing is that I haven’t had to force myself to do this. I’ve been visualizing my dream every day and from doing that I’ll get an inspiration for the next step. I do not know all the steps to getting to my dream. All I’ve been doing is daily visualizing and thinking about what the next step would be, then I go make that step. The commitment is that I work towards my dream daily by visualizing and following the inspiration I get.

If you’re curious what my dream is, it is to become a full-time writer and artist. I can see myself traveling, taking photographs of beautiful places and things, painting them and writing about the experiences I’ve had on those travels. I can also see myself at home cooking, gardening, decorating and improving my life and writing about that. It would be a totally creative way of life doing what I enjoy most – writing and painting surrounding my interests – travel and home life.

The step I’ve taken towards that dream this week is to re-new my artist website where all of my art is available as prints and printed on things like fleece blankets, mugs, shower curtains, totes and more. I’ve uploaded my newer art so it’s now available too. If you read my blog regularly, you’ll be seeing a lot more of these products offered all over the blog.

Here are a few of the products available with my art printed on them (by clicking an item you like, it will take you to the page where it’s available). They’d make great gifts to yourself or someone you love and would help support my dream of becoming a full-time writer and artist. Any purchase would be SO appreciated, but if you don’t want to or can’t, that’s totally fine. Just stopping by and reading my blog is a huge support.

  1. Woohooo, I think you’ve done brilliantly in renewing your site to sell your stuff; you make beautiful pieces & you’ve got a great range of items. I might have to start listening to something motivational each day to get past the current rut that I’ve been stuck in for far too long. Keep visualising & doing what makes you feel brighter and more creative and like you’re using your time outside of work on what makes you happy.xx

    1. I can’t tell you how much listening to daily motivational recordings has helped me. I’ve always listened to these things, but always skipped around to different subjects/authors and not giving anything a chance to settle in and learn. It really helps to pick one or two speakers that you really admire and listen to them daily until you think you got it. It’s really helping me stay focused instead of all over the place and in a rut not getting anywhere.

Thank-you so much for the nice things you said about my site and stuff and for visiting and commenting! I really appreciate it!

  2. Wow..!! The pictures are damn good.. ☺️ You are highly talented in painting.. Thank you for sharing them.. ☺️
Loved this post of yours.. I like such stories from women who chose to dream and didn’t sleep till they achieved their dream.. This line of a former President of India, Dr. Kalam, was used by me in one of my articles on Russia.. It’s so exhilarating and empowering to work and live one’s own dreams.. ☺️
Thank you once again Madam for sharing and inspiring.. ☺️

  3. Your dream is my dream. Writing and painting. Also, travel writing is part of it but still working on that. I loved your blog. You are inspirational. Another of my dreams is being with my divine masculine and writing about our life together and how our two energies coming together are helping the world in some ways to make it a better place. Love you and thank you ❤️

    1. I’m still working on the travel part too, but for now I write about my lessons and home life. I also have the DM dream like you do but at this point asking myself if it was all just to heal things within myself and to not be in relationship with him. I will not know unless he comes back healed. Love you too girl. Maybe someday we’ll be with them and understand this whole thing we’ve been through. <3<3

      1. Clarity would be so appreciated!!!! At this point I know all the ways that it has helped me heal some of my issues. I have no idea how he is though, but I’ve had to move forward for my own good but left the door open for him in the case he gets help. It came to a point that it got way too toxic and damaging for both of us.

      2. I understand the toxicity of your situation. Mine too as he wants a life with me of sexual adventures with whom ever. Very toxic. I think he is re-evaluating it all but he is not communicating. So have no idea of where he is at. ❤️

      3. I had devalued myself so much from past experiences that I thought this type of lifestyle would be a loving arrangement. Anything with him I would have done. I have woken up now, thank god.

      4. I totally relate. I’ve devalued myself in all my past relationships & two years of doing it with him brought my life to shambles all for everything to get worse with him. It’s why I will never go back unless he’s healed. And, I will never let any man treat me with disrespect again. I think I’ll be able to recognize it and nip it in the bud immediately now because I don’t ever want to go through that hell again.

  4. You inspire me so much. You already know our dreams are so similar. And your approach to working on a goal every day has helped me! I used to get so stuck in my own head and so i had all the tabs open in my mind 😉 but would never work on them and it was very limiting. You have helped me and taught me to just do a little bit every day and now that I’m doing it i am seeing success. Thank you for being inspiring and writing posts like these. How awesome that my mom is my biggest inspiration?
