Worry, Doubt And Fear Is A Program That Leads To Anxiety, Depression and Illness

Living in fear, doubt and worry leads to anxiety, then to depression, then to physical sickness.

Being in the present moment and focusing on gratitude, dreams and goals have helped me cure anxiety and depression, and I’ve read living this way has cured mental and physical sickness in others.

To imagine living in a world where everyone was kind and lived like this, it seems would be the answer to many problems that are going on in the world.

When we worry, doubt and fear, it creates stress in our bodies and our bodies then create cells and hormones that cause sickness. Worry and fear are mental sicknesses.

The more we worry, doubt and fear, the more it is embedded into us.

We can change that by intentionally choosing what to think about.  Being present and noticing what’s going on around us helps stop all the negative worried thinking. Take it further and create a dream for yourself and visualize it as often as possible.  Further still, think of all the things in your life to be grateful for.

When we are at peace and in a good frame of mind, our bodies are creating healthy cells and hormones which enhance our health rather than deteriorate it with worry, doubt and fear.

The more of us that learn to live at peace like this, the more it will be learned by others.

You may tell a few people that are close to you, or write about it and some of those people will learn through your example.

They see the difference in you so are willing to try it.

Yes, we have things in our lives that need attention.  For me though, I’d obsess about those things to the point all that I’d do is worry and stress all day long.  For most of us, there’s always going to be some problem going on in our lives – it’s just life.  The solution to a problem will not come from worry and stress.  The solution is more likely to come when we are calm and the way to calmness is being in the present moment and gratitude. When we add in visualizing our dreams, it gives us a big sense of joy to be headed towards something and more likely solutions will come for our problems.

I’m not saying to ignore your problems and be happy skipping through the flower fields.  What I am saying is that many of us never learned to use our minds in a way that will help us and our loved ones.  Many of us learned worry, doubt and fear.  It’s a program that we run by.  We can change it.  If I am doing it so can you.  I was the queen of worry and I learned it from my family. Being the queen of worry led me to a dark place that I never want to be in again so I work at it every day.  One thing I do to keep me learning about this is watch or listen to Joe Dispenza and Bob Proctor every single day on Youtube.  They both teach this and I highly recommend learning from them.  I have committed to this indefinitely to keep me focused on it.

My life is turning around because of it.  I do not feel dread at what horrible things may happen each day like I was feeling, even though a beloved family member has cancer and another one with depression.  Since I have been able to calm myself through being present and gratitude, the better state of mind that I’m in leads to ideas on actions I can take that will help the situation and the situation is slowly getting better.  Ideas to improve my productivity at work have came to me in the calm state of mind and I’ve applied them now being on the verge of a raise.  The dark depression is gone – I no longer cry every day and want to sleep.  I’m excited to see things improving and can feel in my energy that many other wonderful things are coming.

I have only been committed to this for a little over a month so these changes are the result of that time frame.  If you look back at my posts you may think it was longer, but it was sporadic and I wasn’t sticking to and committed to changing – I thought the work had been done and I could relax.  No, the old worry program was very strong and would rear it’s head at the next problem and my efforts at improving were forgotten in seconds.  I was up and down until I finally realized I had to commit, keep myself focused and re-train myself to use my mind productively.

I hope this helps you in some way and I’d love to hear your thoughts.  Have you been able to change your life in a similar way or experienced any of this?

  1. Hey, Monica. Love this! Just started reading Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself by Joe Dispenza, which is all about this concept. Here’s a quick blurb, “Quite simply, our routine, known thoughts and feelings perpetuate the same state of being, which creates the same behaviors, and creates the same reality. So if we want to change some aspect of our reality, we have to think, feel, and act in new ways; we have to “be” different in terms of our responses to experiences.”

    1. YES!!!! I really need to invest in all of his books. So far just the youtube videos are helping me but I think the books would be in more depth so even more helpful. The best part is that what he says is based on science and he’s done studies on it with people being cured as evidence! You get it like I do and I’m so happy to hear that Dwight!! Thank-you so much for commenting!

  2. Hi Monica : Living in the moment and being mindful is the key to a happy life. Young children are like this naturally. People with PTSD generally benefit from mindfulness training. Thanks for sharing ! Great post. 🤗

  3. Right on, Monica! Living in the moment and practicing mindfulness is powerful stuff. I have written about its benefits a number of times—including its power to help children—especially at-risk kids living in dire situations.

And its affiliated practice, lovingkindness, would help this sorry world enormously if it gained more adherents!

    1. Wonderful – I’m going to check it out as soon as I write this comment. I’m smiling that your daughter is a writer like you. I have the same situation going on with my daughter so relating. We actually started this blog together but she wanted to make her own identity rather than together. Thank-you for visiting and commenting! 🙂

    1. Thank-you. For me, being self-aware is from going through some hard things and not liking the depression that resulted, so searching for answers. I’m grateful for the internet where information is so readily available. Back in the day, we had to go buy a book and we were lucky if we could find one on what we were going through. Now it’s just a Google search away. It still can be a puzzle.

Yes, the thought patterns do run very deep, especially after years of running them and not even knowing it.
